About the Jackson County Community Foundation
JCCF is OUR Community’s Foundation. A nonprofit public charity formed by local citizens, we build dedicated resources to benefit Jackson County residents, causes, and nonprofit organizations now and far into the future. We create permanent charitable funds called endowments to supply resources to make grants for important community needs and scholarships for local students.
We are managed by a local advisory committee of Jackson County citizens. We are an affiliate organization of the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation (PACF), a well-respected Foundation that has delivered charitable resources to our region since 1963. Our affiliate relationship brings us shared administrative and investment services, including professional staff expertise, while letting us focus exclusively on developing resources for our county – Jackson County – and our unique needs and vision of our future. JCCF provides a local, easy and lasting way to support our community. A public charity, JCCF is tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code so donors receive the maximum possible tax advantages for gifts.
How can I help and what can I donate?
See our Top Priorities to learn about the many ways that you can help. JCCF accepts various gifts – you can contribute cash, securities, real estate, life insurance, tangible property, make a bequest in a will, create a charitable remainder or lead trust, or use other types of deferred giving. We welcome the opportunity to work with you to explore all giving options. You can contribute any amount for unrestricted purposes (for use in community grantmaking); make a gift in honor of or in memory of a loved one; add to an existing fund to strengthen it; or set up your own named fund (with certain minimum sums) to support charitable causes that are important to you.
To contribute any amount of cash to an existing JCCF fund or for use in community grantmaking, please mail checks to the Jackson County Community Foundation, P.O. Box 565, Ripley, WV 25271. To contribute stock (or other non-cash assets), please call our Executive Director, Judy Sjostedt, toll free at 1-866-428-4438 or to learn more online, visit the Donor Welcome Center.
