Rick Ledford Memorial BSA Campership Fund
The Rick Ledford Memorial Boy Scout Campership Fund was created in 2008 by Dick and Joyce Ledford. The fund provides annual assistance to scouts in Jackson County who need financial support to participate in summer camps, high adventure learning experiences or other local, state or national scouting programs.
Dick Ledford started this fund to memorize his son Rick Ledford who was an avid boy scout. Rick was working his way to Eagle Scout status when he tragically died in a water accident at the age of 14. This fund gives the Ledford family a way to create a legacy for Rick and support a cause that is very important to them. Mr. & Mrs. Ledford provide annual support for scouts during their lifetime and have become members of the Foundation’s Legacy Society by making a planned gift from their estate that will be added to the fund upon their death.
